Health & Hope Accelerates Globalization Strategy Through Overseas Acquisition, Local Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain Expansion
As Chinese pharmaceutical companies continue to expand into international markets, globalization has become a key strategic direction for enhancing long-term competitiveness. Health & Hope Holdings Co., Ltd. (“Health & Hope”) is actively advancing its global development strategy through overseas acquisitions, localized manufacturing, product registration and international market expansion, aiming to build a more integrated global pharmaceutical supply chain.
In the area of overseas mergers and acquisitions, Livzon Pharmaceutical Group Inc., a subsidiary controlled by Health & Hope, completed a tender offer acquisition of shares in Vietnam-based Imexpharm Corporation (IMP) through its overseas wholly owned subsidiary. The transferred shares have been completed, and Livzon Pharmaceutical has obtained a 67.87% stake in IMP.
As one of Vietnam’s leading pharmaceutical companies, IMP possesses internationally compliant manufacturing capabilities and an established local sales network. Health & Hope stated that it will continue to advance post-acquisition integration in accordance with applicable regulations, focusing on corporate governance, quality systems, product registration, manufacturing operations and commercial channels. Through deeper collaboration, the company aims to further strengthen its localized operating platform in Southeast Asia and enhance its competitiveness in overseas markets.
In terms of overseas manufacturing capacity expansion, the API production facility jointly developed by Health & Hope and Indonesia’s Kalbe Group in Jakarta is progressing steadily. The project’s main construction, equipment installation, commissioning and validation activities are being carried out according to schedule.
The Jakarta API facility is positioned as a high-end specialty API manufacturing base designed to meet international quality standards. The project will be developed and certified in accordance with global pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements, including relevant Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Upon completion, the facility is expected to become an important component of Health & Hope’s overseas API production network, supporting international market expansion and strengthening the company’s global supply chain resilience.
Meanwhile, Health & Hope continues to advance overseas registration and market access initiatives for its key finished dosage products, while strengthening cooperation with international partners to accelerate global commercialization.
Industry observers believe that amid global pharmaceutical supply chain restructuring and the growing trend toward localized production, Chinese pharmaceutical companies are shifting from traditional product exports toward comprehensive global industrial deployment. Through overseas acquisitions, international manufacturing capabilities and strengthened regulatory registration systems, Health & Hope is gradually building a diversified global operating platform and laying a solid foundation for future international growth.
